Since our last communication, we have seen increases in positive case counts in the region and across the country. Emerson remains committed to an in-person campus experience and as the Delta variant continues to evolve around the country and the world, we continue to work closely with our colleagues at Tufts Medical Center and with local and state public health officials to ensure a successful opening and fall term. We write today to remind you of some policies as we return to campus throughout this month and to inform you about some new items for this term.
The Tufts Medical Center has informed the College that the COVID-19 testing center will open at 10:00 am Thursday, July 29
At this time, we are anticipating most meeting and function spaces will be available in some form, and with pre-COVID capacity limits, meaning that most in-person events can be held.
We have determined, based on information and guidance from our local health experts and city and state government officials, that widespread COVID-19 vaccination is the best way to protect the health and safety of the Emerson community.
With the positive shifts we have seen in the region, we are sharing the following updates for July, effective today:
All students studying in person on any of Emerson’s campuses and programs this fall must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have approved medical or religious exemptions.
With new changes to state and local restrictions, effective June 1, 2021, the policies and guidelines outlined below will be in place for the Emerson Boston campus this June.
