I wanted to share a few thoughts and pieces of information as we prepare to enter the last days of in-person classes on the Boston campus.

Here at the midpoint of the term, I want to take a moment to acknowledge what a great job our community has done in keeping ourselves and each other safe.
With the three-day weekend ahead of us, we’ve been receiving questions about traveling out of state. If you plan to leave Massachusetts this weekend (or at any point in the foreseeable future), the Massachusetts COVID-19 Travel Order is still in effect.
I am pleased to let you know that undergraduate students will have the option of enrolling in new Winter Term courses, which will take place December 10, 2020 through January 8, 2021.
I know that as we’ve prepared for the return to campus and start of classes, I’ve shared a lot of things not to do. I think all these “don’ts,” while necessary, have left some people thinking, “Is there anything I can do these days?”
This virus does not observe good intentions or unfortunate accidents, and can be as likely to cause infection from blissful ignorance as from willful disobedience.
I hope classes are going well so far. Here is some information for the start of in-person classes on the Boston campus tomorrow.
