Vaccine Requirement and Attestation Form

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I hope this communication finds you well and taking some time for relaxation and rejuvenation this summer.  As the College plans for the return of students, faculty, and staff to our Boston and Los Angeles campuses for the Fall 2021 term, we have determined, based on information and guidance from our local health experts and city and state government officials, that widespread COVID-19 vaccination is the best way to protect the health and safety of the Emerson community.  Therefore, like students, all faculty and staff members must be vaccinated before returning to our Boston and Los Angeles campuses.

We are asking all members of the faculty and staff to attest to their vaccination status by completing an attestation form available on the Emerson app and/or via Workday no later than Friday, July 23. The attestation form asks three simple yes/no questions and will take just a couple of minutes to complete. For instructions on how to access the attestation form via the mobile app and/or Workday, please click the following link: https://support.emerson.edu/hc/en-us/articles/4404856490381.

If you have questions or concerns about completing the attestation form, or if you would like to schedule a time to speak with someone about your vaccination status, please send an email to covid19@emerson.edu with the subject line “vaccination status question.” Please do not send confidential personal or medical information directly to that address.  Individuals with a need for medical or religious exemptions to the vaccine requirement may engage in the exemption request process by accessing the materials via this link: https://hr.emerson.edu/hc/en-us/articles/360049414814-Reasonable-Accommodations

The science is clear that a high percentage of vaccinated faculty, staff, and students will reduce the likelihood of transmission of COVID-19 and its current variants on our campuses.  Thank you in advance for your support of this important initiative that will ensure the health, safety, well-being and success of our Emerson College community this coming year.

With gratitude and best wishes to all for good health and happiness throughout these remaining weeks of summer.

Sincerely,
Bill Gilligan
Interim President
