Closure of Union Bank Building

Please be advised that the Union Bank Building at 216 Tremont Street is closed, effectively immediately, due to a failure in the building’s sanitary water system that requires immediate repair and remediation. The safety and well-being of our community is our top priority, so the building will remain closed until the system is fully operational and safe for occupancy.
Information for Staff
All staff with offices in the Union Bank Building should plan to work from alternative spaces or remotely until the issue is resolved. Please coordinate with your supervisor regarding specific work arrangements and access to necessary resources.
Wellness Center, Robbins Center and Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) Department
All scheduled appointments for the Robbins Center, Wellness Center and the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department will be moved to a different location or rescheduled. Staff will be reaching out to affected individuals to provide further guidance.
Building Access and Security
For the duration of this closure, security personnel will be posted outside 216 Tremont Street to provide information and turn away individuals attempting to enter the facility. Access is strictly prohibited at this time to allow maintenance crews to address the system failure.
