Help Shape Emerson’s Future
Emerson has been changing the world by nurturing communicators for the common good since our founding in 1880, and by building a tradition of innovation in the arts. It’s now our time to shape Emerson’s next chapter and decide how we will continue that legacy. We want to dream boldly about Emerson’s future, and we can only do that with your help.
Thank you to the many people who have already engaged with the Emerson strategic planning process through interviews, focus groups, serving on a working group, or giving feedback through the website form. The planning process has focused on broad engagement and feedback from constituencies across our global community. It is our goal that every single Emersonian has a voice in our process.
We want to make sure we’ve heard from you! As we coalesce around common goals and aspirations, please help us define our strategic priorities and identify specific actions to help us realize those ambitions. This short survey will help the College define its mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities through the year 2030, when Emerson celebrates its 150th anniversary.
The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete and will remain open until October 14. Your responses will be read by a third-party consulting firm assisting with our strategic planning. The feedback they compile for Emerson will be completely anonymous to encourage free responses.
As you may have heard me say before, there are many ways that we can foster a community that is inclusive, steeped in the mission, vision and values of Emerson, and one with common purpose — to have a positive impact on our society. I hope you will choose to share your thoughts.
As someone who has been personally impacted by Emerson throughout my life and as someone who cares deeply about its future, I thank you in advance for your participation. If you have additional thoughts or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
