Facilities Work: 180 Tremont (Ansin Building)

Saturday, May 16, 2026 through Thursday, May 21, 2026
There is important upcoming work at 180 Tremont Street (Ansin Building) scheduled for Saturday, May 16, through Thursday, May 21. To minimize disruption, the work has been carefully planned for off-hours whenever possible The building will remain open throughout the week, except during the scheduled closure periods noted below. A Boston Fire Department detail and pump truck will be on-site for the duration of the work, until final testing on Thursday morning.

Project Schedule

Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 p.m. to Sunday, May 17 at 12:00 p.m.
Power to the building will be temporarily shut off to complete new electrical connections during these times.

Fire Pump Installation
Monday, May 18 through Wednesday, May 20, from 6:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m.
Some construction noise may be noticeable, primarily in lower levels and near the radio station during the installation work.

Final System Testing
Thursday, May 21, from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Final testing of the new fire pump will be conducted in coordination with the Boston Fire Department.
