Stefani Robinson ’14, an Emmy-nominated co-showrunner, executive producer, and writer for FX’s What We Do in the Shadows, will deliver the commencement address for Emerson’s virtual 2021 Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 9, 10:00 am.

In 2020, Robinson was nominated for Emmys in both the Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series categories for her work on What We Do in the Shadows. In 2018, she made Emmy history as the first Black woman to be nominated for both Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for her work on Atlanta, a show that brought her two Writers Guild of America Awards.

She served as supervising producer and writer on the fourth installment of the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning limited series Fargo, and will write and produce a biopic about Chevalier de Saint-Georges based on an original pitch to Searchlight Pictures.
