Reis on the Election: Televisao Publica de Angola

School of Communication Dean and professor Raul Reis was interviewed by Televisao Publica de Angola (TPA), the largest network in Angola, speaking about the U.S. elections and debates, with less than two weeks until Election Day on November 3.

Reis spoke about Thursday night’s debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, how the candidates’ campaign strategies and messages have diverged, and how few undecided voters there are at this point in the election cycle, citing Emerson Polling research on undecided voters.

The interview, which is in Portuguese, features Reis at 24:30 in the video. As previously reported, Reis, who is fluent in Portuguese, visited the Dominican Republic, Angola, and Panama through the U.S. State Department Speaker Series to train journalists and address challenges they face. Prior to his career in academia, Reis worked extensively as a journalist in Brazil and for U.S. news organizations.
