Sitcom by Mutchnick ’87 airs on CBS
Co-creator of hit television show Will & Grace Max Mutchnick ’87 premiered his new sitcom Partners on September 24. The comedy airs Mondays at 8:30 pm ET on CBS.
Partners, which is based on the lives of Mutchnick and his creative partner David Kohan, is about two lifelong best friends and business partners whose “bromance” is tested when one of them gets engaged to be married. As the engagement news settles, time will tell if their business and personal bond can adapt to the addition of two other important relationships.
National Correspondent Lee Cowan profiled the new sitcom as well reported on Mutchnick’s and Kohan’s careers September 30 on CBS Sunday Morning.
Mutchnick’s work on Will & Grace has been honored with an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series; a People’s Choice Award for Favorite New Comedy; four Golden Globe nominations for Best Comedy Series; four GLAAD Media Awards for Outstanding TV Comedy Series; a Founders Award from the Viewers for Quality Television; and the National Award for Excellence from the Human Rights Campaign. In addition to Will & Grace, he also co-created and served as an executive producer on the comedy series Boston Common and Good Morning, Miami.
