MLK: The Time is Now, written by Andrina Smith ’07, took home an Audience Award in the XR (extended reality) Experience Spotlight category at South by Southwest earlier this month.

Using first-person stories and interactions, the film places the viewer into a contemporary March on Washington and gives them a modern interpretation of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

And Dead Enders, starring Liliana Winkworth ’13, took won the Audience Award in the Midnight Shorts Competition. Dead Enders is about a woman who confronts hard questions when a race of mind-controlling parasites is set loose by oil drilling.
