Emerson Ranks #6 on The Wrap’s Top 50 Film Schools List
The College’s Visual and Media Arts program was once again included in the entertainment industry publication The Wrap’s top 50 film schools list, jumping ahead from #15 last year to #6 in 2021.
Highlights in its ranking write up include the first Academy Award win for alum Erik Messerschmidt ’02 for Best Cinematography on “Mank” in 2021, Zoom classroom visits from TV legend and alum Norman Lear and comedian Bob Newhart, and the program’s Emerging Media Lab and new directing studio in the Paramount Center this year.
