Supporting Our Community

Dear Emersonians,

With the presidential election results now known, many in our community will undoubtedly have strong emotions about the outcome. Many may be asking what this means for the future of our country and our roles and rights in society.

Please remember that at Emerson College, we reaffirm the importance of our academic mission that communication and the arts can bring people together. We remain unwavering in our commitment to inclusion, respect, and support for each and every Emersonian. We embrace and are enriched by our diversity of backgrounds, beliefs, identities, abilities, and experiences. Together, we will continue to create a foundation for moving forward that is resilient, compassionate, and steeped in our educational priorities. This will never change.

At significant moments of transition, it is essential to remember that our greatest strength comes from our extraordinary people and our caring community. Please join the spaces created for today that are the most supportive to you. As we plan for our future, let’s continue to be there for each other with kindness and understanding, reaffirming our commitment to protect and support our mission and all Emersonians. We remain strongest together.

With warmth and support,

Jay Bernhardt
President
