Payne Says Goodbye to Popular Emerson Restaurant, Fajitas & ‘Ritas: Boston Globe

Fajitas & ‘Ritas has been a popular spot for Emersonians to dine and gather for 35 years.

Communication Studies Chair Greg Payne was there the first day the restaurant opened its doors. When he heard it was closing, he knew he had to gather for one last time with colleagues.

Payne spoke to the Boston Globe about the importance of the restaurant:

The authentic Mexican restaurants that are not Chipotle, not some type of fast-food chain, are part of an era that I think we need to treasure, and I think we need to try to preserve that as best we can.
