Announcement: Interim Leadership for Campus Life

Dear Emerson community,

I am pleased to share that Christie Anglade, our current Associate Dean for Campus Life, has accepted my request to serve as Interim Vice President of Campus Life and Interim Dean of Students beginning July 10, 2024, upon Jim Hoppe’s departure, until the permanent position is filled.  

Christie joined Emerson in 2019 as the Director for Housing and Residential Education. She has served as Associate Dean for Campus Life since 2023, where she has overseen Housing and Residential Education, Community Standards, and Student Engagement and Leadership. Before joining Emerson, Christie worked in campus life and student affairs roles at Bentley University, Boston College, Michigan State University, and the University of New Haven.

She received her BA in Psychology from Western New England University and a Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina. She is a Certified Human Resources Specialist and has been an active leader in the field of Student Affairs, serving on the host and planning team for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators’ Small Colleges and University Institute for vice presidents in 2022, presenting at regional and national conferences, and developing curricula for professional institutes and conferences.
