As WCVB celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2022, the station featured its longest-tenured employee, and first woman to direct a Boston newscast, alum Donna Hennessey ’65.
Hennessey directs WCVB’s Eyeopener morning program, and began with the outlet when it was WHDH in the late 1960’s. Her advice to getting started in TV?
Just go forward, be strong. If it’s what you want to do, just push forward and do it.
