Coolidge ’85 Nominated for Golden Globe

Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Coolidge ’85 had a stirring message for the Class of 2020.

Alumna Jennifer Coolidge ’85 was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her work as a supporting actress on HBO’s The White Lotus, one of a number of Emersonians who worked on nominated projects this year.

Coolidge, who played Tanya McQuoid on The White Lotus, earned the nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series, or Motion Picture Made for TV.

This marks Coolidge’s first Golden Globe nomination, for a role that earned her Gotham Award and Broadcast Film Critics Association Award nominations, along with wide critical acclaim.

Adele Lim ’96 co-wrote the screenplay for Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon, nominated for Best Animated Motion Picture.

Sasha Garron ’10 was a writer, and Katelyn Hollenbeck ’12 an associate producer on Apple TV’s Ted Lasso, nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

Allison Davis ’02 was a writer on the Amazon series The Underground Railroad, nominated for Best TV Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for TV.

Kevin Muller ’06 was an associate producer on FX’s Pose, nominated for Best TV Series – Drama.

The Golden Globes will be presented on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
