Celebration of Life for Gregory Burdett, MFA ‘20
A Celebration of Life for Gregory Maxim Burdett, MFA ’20, who died suddenly July 15, 2021, will be held Saturday, September 25, 11:00 am, at the Leominster Eagles, 456 Litchfield Street, Leominster, Massachusetts.
“Gregory was a much-loved and generous member of the Film and Media Art community with a wonderful sense of humor,” Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies Jan Roberts-Breslin wrote to students in July. “He helped many of you with projects and was particularly talented as a Production Designer.”
Gregory had recently joined the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 481, and had just wrapped on dressing the set for the film Space Oddity, his first as lead set dresser, Roberts-Breslin said.
He also had worked on the sets of Dexter, Chopped, and Mother Android, as well as for the United Way in New York, Artists for Humanity of Boston, and the Thomas Young Gallery in South Boston, according to his obituary. He graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art in 2005 with a degree in Studio for Interrelated Media (SIM).
“Greg could be described as comical, serious, compassionate, but most of all, a good human being,” his obituary reads.
