Emerson to House Health Care Workers: Globe

Many higher education institutions in the Boston area are providing their facilities, including residence halls, to healthcare workers and first responders amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The College is offering one of its residence halls to up to 100 employees from nearby Tufts Medical Center if needed, said Margaret Ings, VP, Goverment and Community Relations.

Some folks who are here helping can’t get back home and a lot of them don’t live near here, but they need to sleep, Ings said. We’re very pleased to be able to house this population, especially now as things are getting more intense.
