Sidewalk Construction Update

Dear Emerson Community, 

Please be advised that the SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION WORK WILL BEGIN EARLY FRIDAY MORNING, January 17, from 2:00 to 6:00 AM.

The work during that time will include:

• Setting up a crane on Boylston Street to remove the vault cover located under the sidewalk
• Vault cover will be removed and crane taken down by 6:00 am
• Rest of work Friday will be from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Concrete delivery to 114 Boylston Street at 7:00 am
• Wooden enclosure to be built where vault cover removed

The following on-going work will be performed next week from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday, January 20, through Friday, January 24:

• Complete wooden enclosure to make weathertight
• Install new waterproofing at 114 Boylston Street
• Fireproof new structural steel at 114 Boylston Street
• Pour concrete topping at 114 Boylston Street
