Changes to the Final Week of Classes
Hello and Happy New Year!
I am writing as a reminder that we are starting the new year with a change to the Academic Calendar and the final week of classes.
Beginning with Spring 2019, Fall and Spring semesters include 14 teaching days for each day of the week. A class that meets once a week will meet 14 times, a class that meets twice a week will meet 28 times, and a class that meets three times a week will meet 42 times.
Spring 2019 classes run through Wednesday May 1.
- If your class meets once a week on Wednesday; twice a week on Monday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Friday; or three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; your final class is Wednesday, May 1.
- If your class meets once a week on Tuesday; or on Tuesday and Thursday; your final class is Tuesday, April 30.
- If your class meets once a week on Monday, your final class is Monday, April 29.
- If your class meets once a week on Friday, your final class is on Friday, April 26.
- If your class meets once a week on Thursday, your final class is on Thursday, April 25.
You should also note that Tuesday, February 19, and Wednesday, April 17, will run on a Monday schedule. The Academic Calendar can be found on the Emerson website.
