Kelly Farquharson, assistant professor in Emerson College’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, was invited to represent the Children’s Literacy and Speech Sound Lab (Class Lab) at Emerson College during a statewide dyslexia awareness event.
October in Massachusetts is Dyslexia Awareness Month and to help mark the occasion Farquharson attended an event at Paul Revere Park, in view of the Zakim Bridge, which was lit up red in honor of the cause.
The goal of the Class Lab, which is directed by Farquharson, is to aid children with speech and language disorders to achieve classroom success.
