Global communication, education in a technological world, the partnership between Nike and FC Barcelona, and gastro-diplomacy are some of the topics to be addressed in a three-day conference held this week in Barcelona and sponsored by Emerson College and the Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations. The event is the first inaugural joint conference sponsored by the institutions.

Students, graduates, and faculty from other European universities will also participate in the conference, which is open to the public. Titled “Summit: Global Communication, Public Diplomacy, and Civic Engagement,” the event is part of a collaborative agreement signed by President Lee Pelton and Josep Maria Carbonell, dean of the Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations.
