First-ever no-hitter for Men’s Baseball

The Emerson Men’s Baseball Team, and, in particular, pitchers Cal Laird ’17 and Jack Capotorto ’17, combined for the first no-hitter in a 9-inning game in Emerson history against Clark on March 22.

Laird, who played for more than six innings, struck out six opposing players, and walked six.

Capotorto was responsible for the last seven outs, striking out two along the way.
