Emerson to celebrate Communication Week
Emerson’s School of Communication will host its second annual Communication Week March 14–18, 2011. The School’s four departments, Communication Studies, Journalism, Marketing Communication, and Communication Sciences and Disorders, have programmed events at which students and alumni can learn more about their areas of study, network with others in their fields, and hear from interesting guest speakers.
“The School of Communication is delighted to present students with a week of events designed to engage them in discussions about contemporary communication issues,” said Dean of the School of Communication Janis Andersen. “Communication Week is a time for students to celebrate, be inspired by, learn about, and prepare for work in the communication disciplines.”
Events during the week range from clinical case presentations in speech and language pathology to a discussion with local Journalism alumni about trends in the field, and the annual Walt Littlefield Distinguished Speaker in Rhetoric and Political Communication, Peter Loge ’87.
