The College is saddened to share that former longtime faculty member, staff, and coach Pete Chvany passed away on September 7. Pete served the College in a variety of roles for more than 20 years.
In the classroom, on the Wall, on the soccer field, in the production rooms — Chvany was a huge presence at Emerson College.
Emerson also tied for #3 in Most Innovative Schools (North) – a three-spot gain over last year.

Maureen Hurley, the College’s director of student transitions and family programs, spoke to the Boston Globe about special programs for sophomores this academic year, as last year was not typical due to the ongoing pandemic.
