The Daniels and Jennifer Coolidge ‘85 continue their sweep through awards season with another triumphant night at the SAG Awards on Sunday, February 26.

The Screen Actors Guild awarded the cast of Everything Everywhere All at Once, written, directed, and produced by Daniel Kwan ‘10 and Daniel Scheinert ‘09, Best Ensemble, which includes fellow Emersonian Tallie Medel ’08, who played Becky. Stars Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis won individual awards.

The SAG Awards are considered a solid predictor of Oscar wins, due in large part to the fact that actors make up such a large percentage of the Academy.

Everything Everywhere was nominated for 11 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, and dominated the Critics Choice Awards with five wins in January. The Daniels also were nominated for a Writers Guild Award.

Coolidge picked up another win for playing Tanya on The White Lotus, a role that already won her a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. The White Lotus also took Best Ensemble in a Drama.
