TV Executive Doug Herzog ’81 to Lead Emerson Board of Trustees: Boston Globe

Trustee and alum Doug Herzog ’81 will chair Emerson’s Board of Trustees, beginning in June 2026. From his days at radio station WERS, where he created the daily reggae show, “Rockers,” which ran for 30+ years, to decades in leadership roles at cabe television, Herzog is set to guide Emerson’s next storied chapter.

“Emerson is not a place to go to discover yourself. Emerson is a place to go if you know who you are,” Herzog said. “Emerson’s one of my great passions. … It’s why I joined the board. Now I get a chance to lead the board, which is a great opportunity.”
