WERS Turning Up Volume on Boston by Celebrating 617 Day in Style
Whether you live in the 617 area code or not, you’re going to want to attend the WERS 617 Day while enjoying drinks and food at Emerson College’s UnCommon Corner.
WERS 88.9, Emerson College’s radio station, is hosting its annual WERS 617 Day on June 17 (of course!) with free, live music from local musicians.
Numerous local musicians (including an Emerson student!) will be performing live from noon to 9:00 pm at the corner of Boylston and Tremont streets. Remember to bring your friends and family. If you can’t make it, you can tune in anytime on June 17 at 88.9 FM and WERS.org.
“At WERS, we love our local talent and the uniqueness of being in the literal ‘Hub’ of the universe. WERS 617 Day gives us a chance to celebrate both,” said WERS General Manager Howard Simpson ’94.
“This is our sixth year presenting 617 Day and we love connecting the listeners and artists of the Boston music community in this special way,” said WERS Brand Manager Ken West ’94.
