Post-Election Support, Spaces Available November 6
Dear Emersonians,
As election day has arrived for the U.S. presidential race and other contests, we hope you will get out and exercise your right to vote today if you haven’t done so already.
At the same time, it is well documented that anxiety is a common reaction to this moment, and many in our community may be experiencing a range of strong emotions. Please be aware that election results may not be immediately known, which can add to the emotional intensity of this period. For these reasons, we want to remind our community that resources and support services are available to help navigate this time.
Furthering the College’s efforts to provide resources to the community around the election and in the community-strengthening spirit of EmersonTogether, several campus offices will offer drop-in hours on Wednesday, November 6, to provide support and space for reflection. These spaces are open to anyone who wishes to reflect, talk, or simply be in community with others and find support.

Please remember that times like these call on our collective empathy and strength — not just as a community but as a nation and world. We are confident in our community and encourage you to lean on the support systems around you while offering that support to one another.
Sincerely,
Christie Anglade, Interim Vice President and Dean of Campus Life
Jon Derek Croteau, Vice President of Strategy, Innovation, and Institutional Initiatives
