Kimball on Survey about God, Heaven, Hell, Religion and More: The News Journal

Emerson College Polling Director and Associate Professor Spencer Kimball spoke with The News Journal about God, people’s belief in miracles, and more.

Kimball spoke about a RealClear Opinion Research poll that he led of Americans’ views on religion, spirituality, God, the devil, miracles, heaven, hell, reincarnation, ghosts, witches, and aliens.

Kimball said that people’s belief in miracles decreases with age, although all age groups do believe in miracles in high numbers. He also spoke about the geographical breakdown of where people believe in God.

Self-reported belief in God is highest in the South, at 89%, followed by the Midwest (85%), Northeast (83%), and West (81%).
