EPI and the Value of Education in Prison: Dig Boston and Boston Globe

T

Dig Boston covered a March 24 conference on education in prison, hosted by Emerson Prison Initiative (EPI) and held on campus. The article quotes former EPI students John Yang ’23 and Mac Hudson ’23, as well as former President Lee Pelton, now president and CEO of The Boston Foundation.

And EPI Director Mneesha Gellman wrote a letter, published in the Boston Globe, urging Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey to expand support for college in prison for all people incarcerated in the state, not just those slated to be released soon.
