Communication Studies senior affiliated faculty and BIGfishPR CEO David Gerzof Richard weighed in on the new AI tool, Chat GPT, which produces content based on prompts from the user.
Currently a free service, Richard says it will be difficult to police, as students may use it for essay writing or press releases.
ChatGPT is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s going to become this arms race that I don’t think that the professors in the academic community are going to be able to win, where they’ll be able to absolutely tell that something was generated by AI or by the students themselves.
