Gibson on Frantz Fanon’s Legacy: The Conversation

The academic news site The Conversation takes a look back on articles written by scholars of the late psychiatrist, political philosopher, and writer Frantz Fanon and examine his legacy on what would be his 97th birthday on July 20, 2022.

Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts & Interdisciplinary Studies professor and a leading Fanon scholar Nigel Gibson wrote three articles for The Conversation from 2017-2021 on Fanon, including “Fanon on soccer: radically anti-capitalist, anti-commercial and anti-bourgeois,”Fanon and the politics of truth and lying in a colonial society,” and “Quotes from Frantz Fanon’s Wretched of the Earth that resonate 60 years later.”
