Visual & Media Arts Affiliated Faculty Jon Rineman ’05 wrote about the decline of late-night TV. He spoke with his students about it to hear from the target demographics on what shows and jokes hit, and what misses the mark.

“A few themes emerged. As one student observed, there is so much rehashing of stories that have already made news, it feels like you’re just watching more news. Thus came the follow-up question: Why the need to intensely cover top news?” writes Rineman.
