Hewlett on TV and Film Intimacy Directors: Boston Globe

Performing Arts Senior Artist-in-Residence Ted Hewlett shared his perspective on the role intimacy directors play in the entertainment industry, as their presence has grown in recent years.

Hewlett serves in this capacity for local productions.

I’m hopeful that it’s going to have an effect on the stories that we tell, not just how we tell them.

If we all have different ideas about what the story is, we can either be ineffective as storytellers, or we can possibly be doing damage.
