COVID Update: College Open January 7, Testing Center Delayed

Dear members of the Emerson community:

In anticipation of a snow storm that is expected tomorrow morning, Friday, January 7, we are writing to let you know that there are no changes to College operations at this time. Any updates will be communicated to the community vial email and Emerson Today. As a reminder, the College’s Emergency Closing and Delayed Opening policy can be found here.

However, due to the snow storm, the TMC/Emerson Test Center (116 Harrison Ave.) will have a delayed opening at 10:00 am (instead of 8:00 am). The Center will close at 6:00 pm as scheduled. Please note: The test center is open today, Thursday, January 5, for normal hours until 6:00 pm.

Students scheduled to arrive for move-in will be welcomed on campus at their scheduled time and then be required to take their test at the Test Center starting at 10:00 am. Additional information will be provided by Housing and Residential Education.

Off-campus students and employees who had planned to test before 10:00 am tomorrow should now plan to arrive after 10:00 am for their test.

Additionally, we have been informed that due to the increased demand across the region, test results will be available closer to 48 hours from the day of your test rather than the typical 24 hours for the next few weeks.

Thank you and please be safe if you are traveling tomorrow.

Be well,
Erik Muurisepp
COVID Lead
