Important Information: COVID-19 Test Scheduling

We are so thankful for everyone’s dedication to their required COVID-19 testing, and now that classes have started, we are sending an update on the overall testing process.

NOTE: The Tufts Medical Center (116 Harrison Avenue) testing site is now closed on weekends, starting this weekend on September 5-6. It is also closed on holidays, including this coming Monday, September 7, for Labor Day.

At this time, the entire Emerson community should be managing their weekly test schedule via the Emerson app. Everyone participating in weekly testing is encouraged to check their current appointments this week to book, check, cancel, or reschedule appointments as needed.

Students

If you still need to get a first, day-4, or day-7 baseline test, you will see those scheduled for you in the Emerson app scheduler. You are then expected to schedule your ongoing weekly tests at a date/time that works best for you.

We will be auditing testing schedules to ensure that all students are testing weekly. If you do not test weekly and do not respond to attempts to reach you about getting tested, you may be subject to disciplinary action.

Employees

If you’ve filled out the Opt-In Survey, you can simply go to testing.emerson.edu and start booking your weekly tests. You do not need permission or coordination with anyone from HR — we encourage all employees who are working on campus to schedule weekly tests via the Emerson app if they want to do so.

Using the Emerson Scheduling Software

The software is quite intuitive — the brief instructions below will get you started.

Scheduling Your Appointments in the Emerson App:

• Open the Emerson app
• Tap the One Emerson: Reopening Resource Guide button
• Tap the Get Tested: Book your appointment at Tufts Medical Center button
• Log into DUO with your Emerson credentials
• One the Welcome! screen, tap Get Started
• Navigate to a given week and day using the date navigator at the top of the screen
• Choose a time from the times that are available under each day
• Tap the green Finalize Appointment button

Managing Your Appointments in the Emerson App:

• Open the Emerson app
• Tap the One Emerson: Reopening Resource Guide button
• Tap the Get Tested: Book your appointment at Tufts Medical Center button
• Log into DUO with your Emerson credentials
• Tap the three-line menu button in the top right corner
• Tap the drop-down next to your name
• Tap Appointments
• You can then tap on each upcoming appointment to view them or change them!
