President Pelton Discusses Racism in America: WBZ, WGBH
President Pelton joins Jim Braude on WGBH’s Greater Boston and Liam Martin of WBZ this week to discuss racism in America, following the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, which sparked outrage across the nation. Pelton shared a community message with the Emerson community and beyond, detailing his own experiences with racism and asking the greater question; “What are you going to do?”
I wanted to share those [experiences] because I wanted to channel, in a very public way, for a public figure, George Floyd — and all of the other men and women in this country who had to endure that kind of racism.
