Sad News about Emerson College Police Lieutenant Dan Morse

Dear Emerson community,

The College is saddened to learn that Lt. Dan Morse of the Emerson College Police Department (ECPD) died on Saturday, May 16, due to cancer. 

We would like to express our deepest condolences to Lt. Morse’s children Daniel (“DJ”), Joseph, Amanda; his grandchildren Landon, Savannah, Layla, and Damien; and to family, friends, colleagues, students, staff, and others who mourn his loss. 

Prior to joining the ECPD six years ago, Lt. Morse served as the Deputy Chief at Worcester State University for over 20 years. He was a resident of Boylston, Massachusetts.

“Dan was a loved and respected member of the Department who never hesitated to help a fellow member of the ECPD,” said Chief Robert Smith. “He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, outgoing personality, and the leadership and guidance he brought to the ECPD.”
