Sidewalk Construction Update

Dear Emerson Community, 

The following work will be performed next week from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm on January 27, 2020, through January 31, 2020: 

The work during that time will include:

Monday 

• Pour the second and last placement of concrete at 114 Boylston Street  

Tuesday

• Seal the newly placed concrete at 114 Boylston Street     
  
• Begin the take down and removal of the temporary enclosure at 114 Boylston Street

Wednesday

• Continue the take down and removal of the temporary enclosure

Thursday  (DAY SHIFT)

• Waterproof all joint fillers on the new sidewalks at 114-116 Boylston Street
• Complete removal of the entire temporary enclosure

Thursday  (NIGHT SHIFT from 7:00 pm – 1:00 am)

• Breakdown, adjust and remove existing barriers to redirect pedestrian traffic to the new sidewalk to open on Friday
• Remove all other miscellaneous items around the 114-116 Boylston Street work area

Friday

• Adjust any areas of the new sidewalk that need refinement to assure a smooth pedestrian transition and flow
