New Students to Arrive on Campus

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I hope you had a wonderful summer! As the quiet of summer comes to a close, the arrival of students draws near. I want to remind you that our new undergraduate students will be moving into their residence halls on Saturday, August 24, and Monday, August 26.

Incoming students and their families have scheduled times to park and unload during move-in. You will see an increase in activity along the following locations:

Little Building, 80 Boylston Street
Colonial Building, 100 Boylston Street
2 Boylston Place
Piano Row, 150 Boylston Street
Paramount Center, 555 Washington Street

Our orientation leaders, resident assistants, and move-in assistants will help us facilitate a smooth move-in, but we need your help as well. We ask that as you walk around campus, be prepared for a flurry of activity, and keep an earnest eye out for fast-moving carts, very exuberant student leaders, and excited/emotional new students and families. We will do our very best not to interfere with the regular day-to-day business of the campus. We do appreciate your anticipated patience and understanding.

To view the Orientation schedule, visit our website.

You can also access the most up-to-date schedule by downloading the Emerson College app. The app is available through the Apple App Store and Google.

We encourage you to participate in the programs and activities that interest you. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at steven_martin@emerson.edu. We will advise the community of any schedule changes.

Residence halls open for returning students Sunday, September 1, and Monday, September 2.

Sincerely,
Steven Martin
Director, New Student Programs and Transitions
