Volunteer for New Student Move-In

Want to help welcome our newest Emersonians? Sign up to volunteer during New Student Orientation!  We need volunteers to assist with the following areas:

Little Building Move-In Greeter

As we prepare to re-open the Little Building, we are looking for a few staffers to serve as friendly faces and resources during Pre-Orientation Move-in on Saturday, August 24, and/or Move-In on Monday, August 26. In this role, you will be stationed by the entrance to welcome and direct students, family, and friends and answer general questions.  There are various times available throughout both days.

Dining Center Crowd Control

On Tuesday, August 26, the Dining Center will welcome an influx of students during the lunch and dinner hours.  We are currently seeking volunteers to help with crowd management. In this role, you would help direct students and manage lines.  There are times available for both lunch and dinner.

There are various times available to fit your schedule.  You’ll even get a nifty T-shirt to wear as a thank you! To sign up, please sign up on this  Google doc by Friday, August 23, at 5:00 pm.

Volunteering is a great way to help new students and their families feel welcome to the Emerson community! Questions? Email orientation@emerson.edu  or contact steven_martin@emerson.edu.

Sincerely,

Jim Hoppe, Vice President and Dean for Campus Life
Steven Martin, Director for New Student Programs and Transitions
