Emerson’s Director of Intercultural Student Affairs, tamia rashima jordan, spoke before the United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women’s 63rd session on Monday. The session, themed Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Around the World: Female Genital Mutilation and Human Trafficking, can be viewed here.
Her appearance before the UN session is in conjunction with her work with Operation Lipstick, providing education, advocacy and action to reduce illegal gun trafficking through women.
