Denizet-Lewis Remembrance of 49er Dwight Clark in NYT Magazine

Writing, Literature and Publishing Associate Professor Benoit Denizet-Lewis, a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine, wrote a tribute to former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dwight Clark for the magazine’s annual “The Lives They Lived” series “remembering some of the artists, innovators and thinkers we lost in the past year.”

Clark was famous for making The Catch in a January 10, 1982 game against the Dallas Cowboys that “marked the end of the Cowboys’ dynasty and the beginning of a decade of 49ers dominance, during which they won four Super Bowls.”

This is the third year Denizet-Lewis contributed to the series.
