Prof. Janet Kolodzy Weighs in on CNN Reporter & White House Access
Professor and Chair of Emerson’s Department of Journalism Janet Kolodzy, a former editor and producer at CNN, weighed in prior to a federal judge ruling in favor of the White House or CNN reporter Jim Acosta in regards to press access.
The White House is a public institution, Kolodzy said to the Boston Herald, that operates under “sunshine meeting” laws, which require government agencies to allow the public to attend their meetings. “It is a public place and media operate for the public,” said Kolodzy.
