Pelton on Attending Women’s March in Boston as Ally

President Lee Pelton is featured in Shirley Leung’s Boston Globe column about area notables who are participating in the Women’s March in Boston.

Pelton — whom Leung highlights as one of many men who will attend the march on Saturday, January 21, at Boston Common — said he’s attending in honor of his daughters, his mother, his grandmothers, and in support of women who are paid less than men, women who have survived sexual assault or harassment, and single moms.

“I’m an ally, and I also understand this is a march that embodies the Great American Dream, not the politics of division and marginalization,” Pelton said. “This is a moment in history we cannot afford to be silent.”
