Seeking Awesome Music Videos by Emersonians?

It’s that very special time of year again, when Emerson College showcases music videos made by students and alumni.

The fourth annual Silversonic “is a celebration of the combination of music and image as a unique art form worthy of exhibition in a cinema environment,” said Anna Feder, organizer of the College’s Bright Lights Series.

Jackson Adams '10 has created online content that has amassed a viewership of more than 70 million views.

Three events comprise this year’s Silversonic. All events take place at the Bright Family Screening Room.

The main Silversonic event, with 20 music videos slated for screening, is Thursday, November 19, 7:00 pm–12:00 am. A karaoke after-party will be held in the screening room, with opportunities to meet the filmmakers and musicians.

The other events are:

BUFF Presents: Sound + Vision, curated by Shannen Ortale ’10 on Tuesday, November 17, 7:00–10:00 pm.

The Boston Underground Film Festival’s annual love letter to the art of the music video. Like a lovingly curated mix tape from your slightly skewed best friend, this collection celebrates the gems that this underappreciated medium has to offer.

BOSCPUG Presents: Video Artist Jackson Adams ’10, on Wednesday, November 18, 7:00–10:00 pm.

Jackson Adams has created online content that has amassed a viewership of more than 70 million views. He is a Los Angeles-based director and writer who graduated from Emerson with an Honors degree and a BA in Film Production.

The events are free and open to the public. The sponsors of Silversonic are Emerson College’s Department of Visual and Media Arts, the Boston Creative Pro User Group (BOSCPUG), and the Boston Underground Film Festival.
