Brady, Trump focus of Emerson poll

A poll released September 9 by the Emerson College Polling Society shows that Americans are split on the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady amid the “Deflategate” scandal in a survey that asked respondents about sports and politics.

On the political side, the majority of Republican voters say they favor Donald Trump (33 percent), which marks a two-percent increase since July.

Hillary Clinton remains the Democratic frontrunner in the poll with a strong lead at 48 percent. However, Clinton has dropped six points since a July survey.

Potential Democratic candidate Vice President Joe Biden came in at 21 percent, which is a 12-point bump since July.
