Emerson represented at State of City event

WalshEmerson College was well represented in Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s 2015 State of the City Address on January 13.

During the speech, Walsh praised Emerson’s commitment for creating more on-campus student housing at a time when the city is trying to tackle housing shortages.

The event began with a reading of a poem by Danielle Legros Georges ’86, the Emerson alumna who was recently named poet laureate for the city of Boston.

“The Star-Spangled Banner” was sung by Elijah Rock, who is starring in the ArtsEmerson production Breath & Imagination, which opens January 27.
