Fox 25 live on campus Oct. 17

Want to show your Emerson spirit on TV? Or just wave hi to your mom!?

On Friday, October 17, the Fox 25 Morning News will broadcast live from Emerson College for its “Fox 25 College Tour” series, which brings the show to different Boston-area campuses each Friday.

Come on down October 17 and cheer on Emerson!

The Fox 25 Morning News on-air team: Reporter Joy Lim Narkin, commentator Doug “VB” Goudie, news anchors (both Emerson alumni) Shannon Mulaire, MA '05, and Gene Lavanchy '86, meteorologist Shiri Spear, and reporter Elizabeth Hopkins. 

From 6:25 until 9:45 am, Emerson students, faculty, staff, and alumni are encouraged be part of the broadcast by holding signs, wearing Emerson sweatshirts, and hanging out with the College mascot while the show is broadcast from Boylston Place near the entrance of the Tufte Performance and Production Center. (In the event of inclement weather, the location will be moved to the first floor lobby/lounge area of Piano Row.)

If you live outside the Boston area, you can watch the broadcast live on the Fox 25 website.

Fox 25 (WFXT-TV) plans to showcase singing Performing Arts students; conduct an interview with President Lee Pelton; and highlight academic initiatives, including the Entrepreneurial Studies and Accelerator business-related programs.

Several Fox 25 reporters and anchors are Emerson alumni, including both news anchors of the Fox 25 Morning News: Gene Lavanchy ’86 and Shannon Mulaire, MA '05. Commentator Doug “VB” Goudie and reporter Elizabeth Hopkins will be live on campus.
